Trial, license code and subscription terms
These terms cover HTML Point Pro: how the free plan, trials, license codes and Microsoft Store subscriptions work. HTML Point is published by Andrew Corbett ("we"). The software itself is used under the HTML Point license terms shown in the app.
Free plan and Pro
Free plan: up to 5 slides per presentation, 1 page per document, and tables of up to 100 rows by 100 columns, with any number of presentations, documents and tables.
Reading, rendering, previewing, presenting, printing and exporting always work, including for content over a limit, which opens read-only. Saving, closing and recovery remain available. An over-limit presentation, document or workbook cannot start new edits, including deletions and same-size edits. If Pro ends while you are editing, work already being entered can finish within the existing size, and Save, Close and Quit preserve it. HTML Point Pro removes these limits.
Trial
- The trial gives Pro for 14 days from the first start, once per PC. It needs no payment details and does not turn into a subscription.
- When it ends, HTML Point returns to the free plan. Documents over the free limits then open read-only; nothing is deleted.
- Starting a trial needs an internet connection. To keep one trial per PC, the license service keeps a minimal record of each PC that has used a trial (see the privacy policy).
License codes
- We give out license codes ourselves, free of charge. Codes are never sold, and have no cash value. They cannot be exchanged for a Store subscription or for money.
- A code gives Pro on up to the number of PCs we set for it (2 unless we say otherwise) and may have an end date, through which it works (dates are in UTC). HTML Point shows a notice 7 days and 1 day before a code ends.
- A code is for the person or group we gave it to. Do not publish it or share it beyond the PCs it was issued for.
- HTML Point renews a code's license token about once a day while you are online. Offline, Pro keeps working until the current token ends, at most 30 days after the last renewal.
- You can remove a PC from a code in HTML Point, which frees its place for another PC. A PC that has not renewed for 45 days stops counting toward the code's limit, and gets its place back on its next renewal if one is free.
- We may end, revoke, extend or change the PC limit of a code, for example when it was issued by mistake, shared publicly or misused. A revoked code stops giving Pro on each PC when it next renews.
Microsoft Store subscriptions
The Microsoft Store version offers Pro as an annual subscription. Microsoft shows the price, any applicable taxes and renewal terms before you buy. There is no Microsoft subscription trial. The separate 14-day trial described above does not buy or automatically become a subscription.
HTML Point Pro subscriptions bought in the Microsoft Store are sold and billed by Microsoft. Microsoft's Standard Application License Terms and the Microsoft Store terms of sale apply, including Microsoft's renewal, cancellation and refund rules. You can manage or cancel a subscription at account.microsoft.com/services.
Availability
The license service is provided as is. It can be unavailable, for example during maintenance or when it reaches its daily capacity. When it is, HTML Point keeps working: a valid license token keeps giving Pro until it ends, the free version always works, and you can start a trial or enter a code later.
Setting a PC's clock back never extends Pro. If a PC's clock is set back by more than a day, a trial or code needs an online check before it counts again. For a trial, choose Check again in Help > Subscription > Free trial. Codes can be checked through automatic renewal or Check now in the Code section.
Changes
We may update these terms. We update this page and its date, and changes do not shorten a trial or code you already have.
